About Boise Bodega

Bodega Boise began as a dream from a guy who grew up hanging out, and ended up living in Downtown Boise. After Ford’s Market, The Metro, and Hollywood Market disappeared, Boise started growing at a wild pace. Taylor Hunt had been living downtown for about ten years and grew frustrated with the total lack of any kind of market downtown that had the basics. He found himself buying glasses of milk from coffee shops to eat his breakfast cereal. That was easier than getting his car out of a garage, driving to a supermarket, waiting in line, etc. After spending some time at a friends house in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, he spawned the idea of Bodega Boise. It took awhile to bring it into existence, but here we are.

We want to provide the people who live, work, and have fun down here, with a place you can buy the essentials. And pinball. We are a very local company and we love Boise. Our goal is to try and get the items that our neighbors need on a regular basis into our inventory, and to be a trusted and valued addition to the neighborhood. We want you to come in, get a cup of coffee, and hang out for a while if you like. Get something to eat, and if you need some groceries, we will probably have what you are after.

It’s fun watching Boise grow, and it’s even better to watch downtown become more vibrant and bustling all the time. We are excited to have a front row seat at the heart of it all.
